Parenting 101

It's official. After 32 hours of finding babysitters and then sitting through hours of classes, ranging from how to help kids that have been abused in every way, to the ins and outs of foster care policy and adoption, we are officially licensed to be parents. Foster parents, that is. For us to be able to keep Alex in our home, Jared and I had to become licensed as foster parents. We "graduated" last night from our class and now just have to have our home study done to complete our license.

This all sounds like a pain, but it will all be worth it if we are able to adopt Alex. We love this little guy and he is already a part of our family. He is such a sweet baby. Kennedy loves baby Alex and calls him her little brother. She loves being a big sister. We hope that it all becomes permanent soon!
