Yesterday marked Alex's 4th month and it was time for a checkup. It is a little different taking Alex to a doctor, since he is on Medicaid. We can't go to our pediatrician, rather we take him to a clinic in South Salt Lake. As you can imagine, there's a pretty interesting crowd at the Medicaid clinic. Still, the staff there are nice and they have taken good care of Alex.
When Alex first came to our home, he weighed a paltry 6 lbs and change. He was very small for his age, due to the fact that he was born a month early. Now, at four months old, he is a healthy and happy little boy. The scales tipped at about 14 lbs and he looks great! It is so amazing to watch him grow and develop. Let's just hope he continues to grow up with us!
