We usually go to Char's house on Mondays, when Jared is working. This past Monday was no different. We decided to get out of the heat and head to the mountains to Albion Basin. When we left the city, the thermometer read 99 degrees. When we parked to have a quick picnic with the mosquitos, it was 76 degrees outside. Love that!

After the picnic, we took a little hike in search of wild flowers. We found some beautiful flowers, lots of deer and great views.

We did not see the elephant that Kennedy insisted we would see in the mountains, but we will look harder next time. We snapped a few pictures and stayed until dark. We didn't want to leave the beautiful setting, but it actually got a little chilly, so we headed home.

Another fun Monday with Aunt Char.

AFTER A FAMIILY HIKE UP TEMPLE QUARRY LAST SATURDAY, WE FOUND OURSELVES AT ALBION BASIN, ESCAPING THE HEAT AS WELL. WOW!!! IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL, AND THE FLOWERS ARE AMAZING. I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR PICTURES... YOUR CHILREN ARE GEORGEOUS. IF WE WEREN'T HEADING TO LAGOON TODAY (TRAILER PARK CITY), WE WOULD PROBABLY BE UP THERE AGAIN. ROSS THINKS THAT CHURCH SHOULD BE HELD IN THE MOUNTAINS!
looks like you guys had fun and the pictures are great Tara. I love the one of Kennedy laughing with the flowers behind her.
It looks like we need to get ourselves up to Albion Basin, too.
Yes T, sweet pics. I agree with Annie and love the one of Kennedy enjoying the flowers. Actually I think she might be laughing because she has made you believe there's an elephant to be found in the mountains. I also like the picture of you are your kids - Alex is getting so big.
I have never been to Albion Basin. Perhaps we can go sometime. Either that or let's go to Moroni...
What beautiful pictures. I'm a little disappointed that you didn't see any elephants though!
I love Albion Basin as well. A wonderful place to hike and enjoy the scenery. But mosquitos? I don't think they exist in Utah! :-P
Love the pictures T! Good job!
