Guess Who I Bumped Into

As part of my job I travel to conferences all over the state. So far this week I've been to Northridge High, the Canyons, Weber St. University Davis Extension, and the Box Elder District Office. I like the conferences (not the driving) because I get to meet so many great teachers from across the state. As you can imagine I run into people in interesting and unexpected places.

For example, earlier this week I was at the Business Conference in Syracuse. Imagine my surprise when I started going through the conference program and I noticed "Chic on a Shoestring" for the first and second sessions. In case you didn't know - Chic on a Shoestring is my sister Alicia's company. Of all the people I would ever expect to see at an educational conference Alicia might be one of the last.

I called her cell and completely floored her when I asked if she knew where Syracuse High School was.

"Why?"

"I just happen to be there right now and I'm waiting for your presentation to start."

Alicia arrived a few minutes later and I ended up being her tech support for both sessions. She did a great job, although if I had known she was coming I would have dressed better.
