Flashback 2010
I was looking through some old home movies the other day and came across this classic. You've got to love it when there's a mic, a sound system, and some uninhibited little boys. Awesome!

Easter Fun
I know Jared posted a few pics of Easter, so I will add the details. Easter followed the same format as most years. We started the celebration with the annual trip to my parents house for the big Easter egg hunt. After a yummy BBQ with the family, the kids had a blast finding Easter eggs full of candy and lots of money. When I was little, there was one $5.00 egg. Now there are seven or eight and tons of other money eggs. I think Kennedy came out with $15.00! As always, the hunt was in Grandpa's Christmas tree farm. It was a little nostalgic walking through my dad's forest that I helped him plant when I was little. It was hard not having him there with us.
We also played horse shoes, basketball, baseball, and just enjoyed the afternoon with the family.
Easter morning came and the Easter bunny spoiled the kids again this year. They got lots of treats and toys. After church, we spent the afternoon with Evan and Alicia's kids and had yet another Easter egg hunt. The kids especially liked finding eggs that talked to them that nana gave to them. We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Evan and Alicia's house. It was a nice day and the kids seemed to enjoy the Easter weekend. I just hope they actually remember that the holiday is actually to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and not just about candy, toys, eggs and bunnies!

Working Girl
For the past month or so Kennedy has had a request - to go with me to work. I don't know what the appeal is to go up to my cubical and sit around for a few hours, but she was insistent. With the kids home for Spring Break this week, the time was right and Miss Dede came to UEN.It ended up being a pretty fun day. Mindy also had her daughter at the office, so the girls passed notes back and forth for most of the morning. Kennedy was quite elaborate in her note-making, using colored paper, post-its, and glue to create a model of the office.
After a few hours of work it was time to call it a day (there's no way you're getting in a full 8 hours with your kids at the office) and we headed downtown for lunch. Dede has been begging to eat at Chick Fil A, so we went to the new City Creek Mall to eat at the food court. That mall is amazing - and crowded! It's been a while since I've been part of a crowd that large! Still, it was unreal to see all the neat features of the mall.
Our day ended as Kennedy and I rode Trax home. It was a fun day and great to have a cubie buddy come with me to the office. Thanks for a day away from the ordinary Kennedy!
